The best part about the Love Affair workshop was our first morning class. We all anticipated for our brains to be fried with knowledge within the first ten minutes, but our speakers threw us for a surprise. For the first two hours Davina Fear, Lauren Clark, Kelly Moore, and Millie Holloman (look them up they are all AMAZING) made sure to emphasize the true importance of this workshop... PRIORITIES! God, family, friends, time, love, and life! We all have this hunger to be the greatest at what we do and without realizing it we sometimes lose sight of what is most important. I love photography and I love life, but I never want photography to consume my life. So therefore, I wanted to make a special post completely devoted to my wonderful family. They all have been so supportive toward my photography passion and whenever I get apprehensive about it they constantly keep encouraging me. They are always making me challenge myself because they know that's the only way I'll get better. My boyfriend Trent is the definition of hardwork and after the Love Affair Workshop, he has pretty much been promoted to my business manager. He calls me randomly just to give me ideas of what I need to do to enter the "photography world." Now for those of you who know my mom probably agree that she's one of the best decorators EVER. She is now using her special gift to my advantage and becoming my visual eye. These past couple of mornings when I get out of bed she has had new ideas about scenery, props, hair, and makeup. My sister Amanda has become my own personal billboard because she is always posting about my accomplishments on Facebook and she even volunteers to be my personal model (we have a shoot Wednesday)!! I consider my dad, Lukey, and Bree (my future sissy in-law) as my own personal cheerleaders because they constantly check up on me just to let me know how proud they are. This is really encouraging because when everyone and their mother is a photographer, encouragement is greatly needed! After this workshop I feel inspired to push myself on a whole new level because ideally this is the career path I hope to have in the future. So even though photography is mainly recognized a solo career, I know it'll be different in my case because everything that I put forth into my pictures I'll remember that all my creations are inspired by my family!
