Picture Purrrfect!
Here are some pictures I took a few weeks ago for my neighbor Laurie! Have you ever met anyone who loves their animals like children? Well, Laurie is definitely one of those people and she decided she needed pictures of her little babies to hang around the house! I was really excited for this shoot because I knew it would be a challenge. Animals are harder subjects to shoot because they don't always cooperate and they don't hold still for more than five seconds haha! Within the first few minutes they were running everywhere, climbing trees, and hiding in the bushes. Thankfully, Trent was in town and together we made an awesome team! He attached string to a stick and dangled the string right above my camera. Cats love dangly toys and they became mesmerized by the string, which helped me finally get some great shots! Who knew Trent had hidden cat whisperer talents!? A few days later Laurie brought the pictures to Coronado's "Wags and Tails" pet store and they loved the photos! They even asked if I could take more pictures of various animals so they could hang some of my images in their store... So if any of you are looking for pictures of your bird, dog, pig, or whatever animal you adore, let me know! :)

Aislynn
I took pictures for a server I work with at The Cheesecake Factory named Kourtney. Her daughter Aislynn is two and Kourtney wanted to get some shots of her all dolled up at Sean's fire station! Aislynn is the cutest thing EVER and she is the biggest ball of energy! She was such a great sport even with her cold and the 85 degree weather! Good job Aislynn :)
The results of Aislynn's daddy driving away in his fire truck! HAHA so cute! |

Suha and I had so much fun on our previous "Italian Jewelry Design Catalog" shoot, that she booked another session with me two days later! Isn't she GORGEOUS!?!

Ilaian Jewelry
I took pictures for the Ilaian Jewelry Design catalog today. All the necklaces are designed by Alaa Ilaian and they are unlike anything I've ever seen! The necklaces are in the shape of eyes and they come in various colors. They are awesome because they emphasize the beautiful eyes of their owner, just look at how Suha's green eyes pop! I loved having Suha as my model today because it was effortless taking her pictures. As you'll notice in the images below, she is just FLAWLESS! If interested in any of the Ilaian Jewelry Design's, feel free to email me and I'll give you the designers contact information. It'll makes the perfect Christmas present! :)

Ohana
The best part about the Love Affair workshop was our first morning class. We all anticipated for our brains to be fried with knowledge within the first ten minutes, but our speakers threw us for a surprise. For the first two hours Davina Fear, Lauren Clark, Kelly Moore, and Millie Holloman (look them up they are all AMAZING) made sure to emphasize the true importance of this workshop... PRIORITIES! God, family, friends, time, love, and life! We all have this hunger to be the greatest at what we do and without realizing it we sometimes lose sight of what is most important. I love photography and I love life, but I never want photography to consume my life. So therefore, I wanted to make a special post completely devoted to my wonderful family. They all have been so supportive toward my photography passion and whenever I get apprehensive about it they constantly keep encouraging me. They are always making me challenge myself because they know that's the only way I'll get better. My boyfriend Trent is the definition of hardwork and after the Love Affair Workshop, he has pretty much been promoted to my business manager. He calls me randomly just to give me ideas of what I need to do to enter the "photography world." Now for those of you who know my mom probably agree that she's one of the best decorators EVER. She is now using her special gift to my advantage and becoming my visual eye. These past couple of mornings when I get out of bed she has had new ideas about scenery, props, hair, and makeup. My sister Amanda has become my own personal billboard because she is always posting about my accomplishments on Facebook and she even volunteers to be my personal model (we have a shoot Wednesday)!! I consider my dad, Lukey, and Bree (my future sissy in-law) as my own personal cheerleaders because they constantly check up on me just to let me know how proud they are. This is really encouraging because when everyone and their mother is a photographer, encouragement is greatly needed! After this workshop I feel inspired to push myself on a whole new level because ideally this is the career path I hope to have in the future. So even though photography is mainly recognized a solo career, I know it'll be different in my case because everything that I put forth into my pictures I'll remember that all my creations are inspired by my family!
