Hailey: xoxo

I want to be the first to wish Hailey a happy 4th birthday.  I'm so excited that I received the opportunity to get together with little Hailey for the second time because her sessions are always carefree, silly, and fun. She loves being in front of the camera and she's hilarious when I try to pose her because her time span is about... 3 seconds haha. She challenges me because she wants you to capture the moment right then and there, then she's ready to move on. We would find unique backgrounds and then she would turn around, smile, and then say "ok I'm done, let's run to the park." We would then proceed by chasing her to the park. I think that's why I love taking her photos because they aren't your normal smile and pose images... They are candid, innocent, and they display Hailey's beautiful joyful spirit. So happy birthday again Hailey and I want to give a special shout out to Lisa for being such a great mom and for her exciting news of being pregnant with a baby boy! :)

Rocking out on her Balboa runway

The last image is my absolute favorite because I asked Hailey what face she makes when she asks her mommy for birthday presents... She instantly gave me this sweet face and her "pretty please" pose. It was so priceless and adorable that I just wanted to just take her to the toy shop and buy her anything she wanted. I think I'm going to be a sucker in the future when I'm a mom.

Featured.

Featured on my first website today!! I'm so thankful and excited to be apart of the Pinhole Pro contest. I can't wait to travel with them to Hawaii in May and for our Maui Jim catalog shoot.

Here's an extra thank you to Pinhole because they helped me receive new blog readers and I even got a shout out from a fan in Atlanta! :)

Amber: xoxo

I've been anxious to post these pictures of Amber, but I've had to keep them under wraps because she wanted to surprise her boyfriend and family with these pictures for Valentine's Day. I worked with Amber at Cheesecake Factory and I was excited to get together with her a few weeks ago in San Diego. We went to La Jolla and when we first arrived it was as if we were walking into a cloud because the air was so thick with moisture and fog. However, we got lucky because once I pulled out the camera it all gradually drifted away... It was awesome! Amber was an amazing client and I want to thank her again for being such a trooper by standing near the edge of the rocks where the water was crashing. She got wet, but she made the picture amazing!

Valentine's Day: xoxo

Ahhh Valentine's Day! I love celebrating a holiday devoted to love, cheesiness, and romance. I'm thankful that I was able to spend this day with my Valentine of six years, Trent Brookshier! I moved to Orange County in January and the best part about this new change is that I live ten minutes away from Trent. It's nice being able to see each other all the time now rather than just on the weekends.  This year we kept Valentine's Day simple... Trent came over after work and we picked up some delicious Mexican food with our favorite burritos, guacamole, and chips. We then drove to a lake, found a gazebo, and ate our gourmet meal right be the water. We couldn't finish our chips so we fed them to the ducks... we thought they deserved a little holiday meal.  Trent has a really big sweet tooth so when we drove home I baked brownies, cupcakes, and cookies. Didn't realize it until now, but food seems to be the main theme throughout the night... no wonder I love this holiday so much! Unfortunately, we couldn't eat all of our baked goods and now those tasty treats just sit on my counter and tempt me at every meal. Overall, I had an amazing Valentine's Day and I'm so thankful that I was able to spend it with Trent. We didn't take too many pictures, but I was able to sneak a few from my phone and then some from my camera at the end. Hope you all had an amazing Valentine's Day!

My new snazzy necklace... It has a "T" engraved on it :)
